Wall Arrangement

This was special...our bride bought a corrugated metal letter at a flea market and we added silks to it to hang behind the head table.

We also do signs!

We also did a sign for our bride to set out by the guest book.

Cotton Boll Corsages

The corsages for the helpers were done with cotton bolls, wheat, small pinecones and hypericum berries and an organic looking fern.  Then wrapped in burlap and added a burlap thread bow.
Which makes a wonderful country/organic look.

Silk Arrangement in Oak Sewing Machine Drawer

This arrangement was made to set at the bridal parties table at the reception.  The flowers were hydrangea, flowering kale, ivy, and dried lotus pods.  With a splash of dark purple hydrangea.

Paper Flowers for Wedding Cake

It has been lots of fun designing this wedding!  We hand made paper flowers in the brides color scheme to be attached to the wedding cake.  It is really hard to see the difference in the sizes from the photos...but the flowers graduate in size, starting with the smaller ones on the top, medium size on the middle layer and a cluster of the larger ones at the base.  We have mixed solid papers from "Paper Source" and also a small print on both sides.  They looked awesome!

Fall Brides Bouquet

It is really hard to pick your favorite....but this is right at the top!  We used our favorite protea, callas, hypericum berries, fern curls, ranunculus, freesia, rose hips and kangaroo paw.  Stacy is excellent at making the uniform shape and balance of color (lights and darks) in the bridal bouquets.

Fall Head Table

The head table was four tables pushed together so we ran a 40" burlap table runner down the middle and then layered it with a MR & MRS table runner on top.  Then we scattered the various mason jars filled with the coffee beans, putka pods and candles.  And we also randomly placed the vases for the girls bouquets.  It tied in with the guest table arrangements and was not too tall for conversation.

Guest Book Table

This turned out really cute.....we used an old window and attached family wedding photos and then arranged the mason jars filled with the same coffee beans, lotus pods and putka pods around the window.

Fall Weddings

Last weekend we did a wonderful wedding in fall colors!

We used mason jars that were varied heights and filled them with coffee beans, orange putka pods (that look like little dried pumpkins) and then dropped a orange candle votive in each jar.  We also clustered dried lotus pods and preserved fall leaves around them.  The tall vases we filled them with coffee beans, curly willow and kangaroo paws.  Simple, but striking.

White Alstroemeria Corsage

This a very neutral and gorgeous wrist corsage with white alstroemeria and green hypericum berries which would go with any dress!

White and Green Orchid Silk Wrist Corsage

Orchids seem to be the best flower to use for a silk wrist or pin-on corsage, they are so beautiful and realistic!  The glitter ribbon from Lions Ribbon is so great to work with and add a little satin ribbon for softness and bling!

Silk Corsage

We have started leaning toward silk corsages now, because we have found some great realistic flowers at the appropriate sizes.  When you order fresh sometime you do not know what size your are going to get.  Just don't like an overpowering wrist corsage!  We tried a some soft pink ranunculus, beige rose, green hydrangea on a slap braclet.

Making MR & MRS Burlap Table Runners

We had a busy weekend making burlap table runners for our next wedding.  We started out measuring and cutting burlap, zigzaged the edges (or you can fray the ends).  We used the Cricuit to cut out freezer paper for the lettering.

Laid it out so the letters would not land under the place settings or table arrangement.  Then ironed it down.

Sprayed it with paint. Let dry and peel off paper.

And it turns out perfect!.   No overspray!  Watch our blog to see how they look on the tables!!

Orange, Purple and Burnt Orange

We tried different flowers this time and it turned out  awesome.  Burnt orange Callas, orange spray roses, yellow billy balls, pincushion protea, kangaroo paw (which we loved) dark purple carnations, purple statice and wrapped the stems with dark purple ribbon and then wrapped silver crinkle wire and add diamond pins.

The bout we used the burnt orange calla with a magnolia leaf, kangaroo paw.  Love that Kangaroo paw!

Another Pink Wedding

We did another pink wedding this weekend!  Just Love the colors!  We used pink roses, green hypericum berries and seeded eucalyptus.  The handle held was banded with three ribbons and hot pink pins.

Wine Bottle Invitations

We had FUN making these Wine Bottle Invitations for an
upcoming Wedding Shower.
They were cut out by hand in olive green paper on one side and kraft on the other. Then the top of the bottle was embossed with gold  to duplicate a seal.
On front of the bottle we used an Avery label which you can get at your local office supply store.

On the inside we used another Avery label with more details of the event.

The invitation fits great in a standard legal size envelope!

These would be great for all different types of occasions!

White Hydrangea Bouquet

This brides bouquet turned out Simple but Very Elegant!  It had white hydrangea, white roses and white spray roses.
The stems where hand wrapped with ivory ribbon and ivory pearl pins going down the center.
It truly adds, but it also gives the bride something to hold and fiddle with if she is nervous.

Garden Look

This has to be my favorite floral look!  This has Ti leaves (which  can loop or just stand tall),   Sunflowers, Zinnias, flowering Kale, Kermit button mums  and an awesome pincushion protea!  So I guess we are really mixing a garden look with a tropical look.....but it still comes off looking great!
It made a beautiful Birthday party arrangement.

Marine Blue and White Card Box

Well it was another beautiful wedding!  We made a gift card box out of different white papers, embossed, stripped and glitter blue!  We embellished it with ribbon....pleated, satin and little roses.  Our favorite is making the paper flowers which we learned from "Paper Source"...our favorite paper store!

Baby Shower Book Arrangement

At the Baby Shower we just did this weekend we used Golden Books and Dr. Seuss Books to wrap  the containers for the table arrangements.  In the arrangements we had some beautiful pink and yellow alstromeria, yellow yarrow, scabiosa, poppy pods and cute little yellow spider mums and of course pink gerberas

Then at each setting was a paper marker with the persons name and a water pick tube to put the flower in.  This was an ideas that Blumebox produces, but I didn't have enough time to order... so I made them!  Won't do that again....too much work!  Will definitely order from Blumebox!

The favors are made out of golden book pages and with a couple of gummy worms and crimped on the ends.

Surprise!

One of our brides is a children's librarian and we wanted to do something with children's books to surprise her.

So we anchored a few books around a glass vase and tied it with a ribbon, then carefully added the flowers not to get the pages wet.

Turned out adorable!

Blumebox Arrangements

These arrangements are so much fun with Poppy pods (super nice, they had strong stems and some of them were as big as a golf ball), Astilbe, Gerberas, Carnations and Mini Hydrangea.  We put them in a product called "Blumebox" which give you so many options to decorate and at a reasonable price.

It was a nice touch in the men and women's bathrooms.

Hot Pink Reception

What a beautiful reception!  It was a combination of high and
low table arrangements.  The tall cylinder vases were filled with
gel crystals and the new subnine submergible lights which you can choose from several color to light up the gel crystals.  The great part is you can turn them on with a remote!

We filled the vases with silver birch twigs and add hot pink silk
orchids and also banded the vases with black and pink ribbon and attached table numbers.

The low vases were filled with the gel crystals and submergible light, banded with pink and black ribbon and topped with fresh hot pink carnations.

Hot Pink Unity Sand Arrangement

This was something new we tried!  Kind of a wall of color!  We used two rows of hot pink carnations, a row of hot pink alstromeria, and the calla cones.  The calla cones we got from Accent Decor and we love them!  They are slender and dried, you can cut them off at any length!  Very fun to work with.

Hot Pink Carnation Bouquet

This is one of my favorites!  The Hot Pink was beautiful!  We were alittle concerned about the stems on the carnations so we tried these new black wire cuffs which supports the carnations and is a fabulous accent.  It worked great!
We wrapped the stems in black ribbon and used the hot pink pins as an accent going down the bouquet.
Loved it!

Hot Pink Silk Orchid Corsage

This Mother of the Bride corsages was made on a silver slap bracelet.  We used Hot pink silk orchids, pink and black polka dot feathers, white wispy feathers, green hypericum berries along with black glitter ribbon and white fluffy wire. It really went beautiful with her dress and she looked beautiful.

Wedding Cake and Altar

Sometimes cake flowers can be a challenge!  But they definitely add color to the overall look.

This is one of the two altar pieces that carried out the blue/ purple look!

Blueish Purple Hydrangea Bouquet

This bouquet looked so nice with the dark purple
bridesmaids dress.  We added white roses, purple limonium and white callas.
We bought these fabulous blue hydrangeas for Baisch and Skinner and then oversprayed
them with a violet color.

Soft White and Purple Bouquet

This bride choose white hydrangea, roses, callas, purple limonium  and we oversprayed mini white carnation with blue and violet.  It was beautiful!

Bubble bowls

A bubble bowl table arrangement
makes a beautiful striking table arrangement that is very cost effective.
We used one spider mum and a few stems of lilly grass.

Corsage

Another new thing we tried this year for prom was inserting the popular zipper flowers for a whole new look.  It is very fun with the creamy white hypericum berries, white spray roses and mini hosta leaves.
Again these mini host leaves work absolutely wonderful in corsages and bouts!

Mini Succulent Bout

For prom this year we tried a mini succulent and paired it with two with spray roses, curled wire and a mini hosta leaf!  It turned out awesome!  Can't wait to try some mini succulent in a brides bouquet.  The down side to them is you can not keep them in a floral cooler.  That is OK...just wait till the last minute to put them together.
